Spectrum demand study for Intelligent Transportation System

Abstract:

In future Intelligent Transportation System (ITS), Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication is needed to provide many kinds of automobile services, e.g. working zone alarm, traffic collision warning and platooning driving, to improve the overall traffic efficiency. Recently, there has been a wide discussion regarding the spectrum demand to support such ITS system with possible use cases enabled. Ericsson started an internal spectrum demand study since 2016 and estimated the spectrum demand for both urban and highway scenarios.
