Optimisation and evaluation of wireless backhaul networks with full duplex links

Abstract:

With fast growth of mobile traffic, wireless access networks are facing a big challenge to provide even higher bandwidths to users, which increases the load on backhaul networks. This increase in capacity demands increasing resources to support such a high traffic at backhaul links. Full duplex links have the potential to meet the such high demand of network capacity. In this thesis, an optimisation algorithm is designed to minimise the cost of the network under various constraints. The algorithm is using Mixed Integer linear programming optimisation. After formulation of algorithm, evaluation of the same will be done using the practical network parameters taken from values measured using ray tracer in a real scenario
