Public key cryptography, cryptographic hash functions, signature schemes, identification and entity authentication, elliptic curves, quantum cryptography
Prerequisites
The knowledge of Cryptography I is recommended.
Basic knowledge in stochastics and number theory.

Tomorrow on April 6th, 2011 at 14h, we will provide an exam review in the seminar room of TI (WSH 24A407).The results are now online. If your key is lost or does not match, please contact Henning with your official RWTH-email-address and ID.
The examination will take place in Grüner Hörsaal AM (Gr) on Friday 11.03.2011 between 13:00h and 18:00h. The exact times will be anounced soon. Update: The examination (parts I and II) begins at 14:00h and ends at 17:00h!
The review exercise (Zusatzübung) will be presented on Tuesday 01.03.2011 at 14:00h in WSH, 4th floor, seminar room 24A407. Problems 1-3 refer to Cryptography I and Problems 4-6 refer to Advanced Methods of Cryptography.
We provide an extra consultation hour before the exam on Friday 04.03.2011 at 10:00h in WSH, 4th floor, seminar room 24A407.
Please register for the exam by sending an email entitled "AMC exam" to Henning Maier or to Georg Boecherer.
This is NOT the official registration to the ZPA, this is only for organizational purposes.
Please include the corresponding information, which is highlighted in bold letters here, in your email:
- Crypto 1 only (4.5 ECTS) : the exam refers to chapters 1 to 8. Duration 1.5h.
- Crypto 1 + Advanced Methods of Cryptography - part (6 ECTS): the exam refers to chapters 1 to 11. Duration 2h.
- Crypto 1 + Advanced Methods of Cryptography - full (9 ECTS): the exam refers to chapters 1 to 14. Duration 3h.
- Advanced Methods of Cryptography only (4.5 ECTS): the exam refers to chapters 9 to 14. Duration 1.5h.
- Scheinklausur (additionally to one of the options above): in this case, no ZPA registration is required.
- Furthermore, please indicate if you wish a German or an English version of the examination.
During the exam you can use a non-graphical, non-programmable calculator as well as the help-sheet (Hilfsblatt) of cryptography, which will be distributed by us at the same time as the exam problems. Bringing your own material is forbidden.
Furthermore, please check if you are officially registered for the exam at the ZPA (cf. campus-office).
