The introductory meeting takes place Thursday, 13th Oct. 2011, 10 am, in the seminar room of TI (24 A 407).
If you have missed that meeting it is possible to register via e-mail at Dr. Michael Reyer until Wednesday 19th Oct. 2011.
Content
Current topics of the chair’s research areas are discussed. These include, but are not limited to:
- Algorithms, tools and methods for planning, optimisation of and operating future wireless networks, especially
modelling and analysis of MIMO-channels,
optimal power and rate allocation in OFDM systems.
- Information theory and distributed systems, especially signal processing and ad-hoc networks.
Prerequisites
A successful participation in at least one lecture and exercise class offered by the Chair of Theoretical Information Theory or an equivalent course taken at another university. (Not communication networks I, decision on admission in individual cases)
Exam
Transcript after successful participation (written report and presentation).
Registration
Registration will take place during the introductory meeting or by e-mail at Dr. Michael Reyer. Further, prerequisites will be checked then, topics will be discussed and a general introduction to the seminar will be given.
